Contxto – She Loves Tech—a global competition to encourage female entrepreneurship—wrapped up its first-ever edition in Chile.
10 startups were called on to pitch their tech projects on August 19, among which Santiago-based Rentivo emerged victorious. Consequently, it will move onto the international competition for a chance to win equity-free funding.
While we still don’t have an official date for when that grand finale will be, we’ll keep an eye out for Rentivo’s participation. Moreover, one can only hope the She Loves Tech team will soon launch more competitions into other Latam countries.
And regardless of who took home the gold, these 10 Chilean startups are making a difference for women and tech. Whether it’s through their female founders or the problems they tackle.

Cuantix

As its name subtly suggests, FirstJob allows users to land their first job. Thus saving youngbloods from that ugly catch-22 scenario where you need job experience to land your first job.
Genia
Using DNA samples, this healthtech can help users map out their ancestry as well as learn how to better take care of themselves. As you know… it’s all in the genes.
MenuToGo
Eat a healthy, home cooked meal with MenuToGo. All its dishes are prepared by small entrepreneurs looking to earn some extra income.
Neekids
Parents want to tend to their kids’ educational needs. But with so many options out there, it can be tough to choose. But with Neekids, a child is assessed and the platform recommends what kind of learning content they should consume.
Omaigut
Using AI tech, this startup is helping companies create plant-based foods for a more healthy and cruelty-free world.
POW! Foods
Another foodtech participant, POW! Foods offers meat-free products, like sausage, that pack just as much protein as their animal-based counterparts. POW! indeed.

Budgets and babies don’t have to be at odds with each other. Through Rentivo, parents can rent out products for their little ones so they can save money and still have a good time.
SiTienda
