Contxto – No-code entegration platform Digibee announced it raised US$5 million last Wednesday (3). GAA Investments and Laércio Albuquerque of Cisco Brazil were the lead investors.

The Brazilian startup will use the funds to improve its technology as well as expand into the United States. No-code is gaining (geographical) ground.

Integration sensation

When a business wants to add a new feature or service onto its system, it will (normally) entail recruiting programmers to integrate the new perk onto its website or application. These developers usually have to build new code so that the data sets are connected and function properly.

Meaning, a large effort and resources must be burned whenever it wants to innovate one of its offerings. And in an increasingly competitive world, companies want to adapt quickly but this clunky coding business doesn’t really help.

In that sense, Brazilian Digibee offers a no-code integration platform. Through it, company staff can more easily add more features or services without a programmer.

Entrepreneurs Rodrigo Bernardinelli, Peter Kreslins, and Vitor Sousa founded Digibee in 2017. Last year, its customer base grew six fold. More recently, many businesses report growth slowdowns because of the coronavirus outbreak, but that’s not this startup’s case.

“Despite the pandemic, in 2020 we had the best quarter in Digibee’s history,” noted Rodrigo Bernardinelli, co-Founder and CEO at the startup.

“And we continue expecting to quadruple our revenue growth this year. With remote work, we noticed a 25 percent increase in productivity which resulted in a faster delivery speed and better quality.”

It already has some big names in its customer portfolio including Canon and Santander Bank.

More customers to come for Digibee?

As more businesses enter the digital realm, they’ll need to offer more perks onto their sites and apps. However not all of them will have the resources to hire programmers to help them integrate new additions.

In that sense startups like Digibee offer an alternative that can help them stay competitive and innovative. Rightly so, no-code tools are—pardon the cliché—democratizing the access to website and app building.

Moreover, investors around the world are taking notice. For example Dutch Betty Blocks has raised US$10 million since its 2012 founding. More recently, German Bryter raised US$16 million. It’s nice to see Brazilian Digibee joining their ranks too.
