Contxto – No matter the industry, fast exponential growth is a steadfast goal for most startups, especially media ventures. At least this is what Rock Content—a digital content marketing company from Brazil—hopes to accomplish from its recent acquisition of ScribbleLive.
Under the unwavering banner of internationalization, the company plans to scale its content marketing services to new frontiers from this purchase. At the moment, the price tag hasn’t been disclosed.
“Today, we are proud to announce that we are making an important move towards our vision of building the first global content marketing company,” said Rock Content CEO Diego Gomes earlier today in a press release. “I’m proud to announce that Rock Content has acquired ScribbleLive.”
As Rock Content’s second acquisition, the first being Iclips just last month, the cloud provider will add 75 new positions to its creative workforce. More talent will result in portfolio diversification and hopefully, a magnified worldly presence. Already, it employs a team of 500 “Rockers” present in six countries and four different time zones. Even better, many can work remotely.
For leadership at ScribbleLive, this acquisition will yield positive results based on pre-existing similarities. At the end of the day, both are proficient marketing startups tied together by the common principle: content is king.
“Our team could not be more thrilled to join the Rock family, given our culture, vision, and values are an ideal fit,” said Mary Ward, the Chief Marketing Officer from ScribbleLive.
“From a technology perspective, our combined offerings provide all customers with a more centralized, multi-language solution that also lay the foundation for Rock to continue its rapid growth toward becoming a category leader.”
The need for culturally competent content creation
When it comes to content production, one of the largest obstacles in creating quality multilingual material. Moreover, each country embraces different market and cultural values, making it a little tricky in terms of expansion.
This is where ScribbleLive will assist, especially when it comes to expanding English content generation. Some of its clients include Red Bull, Cisco, FedEx, Dell, Reuters, Deloitte, and American Express.
With this in mind, Rock Content is well on its way to offering holistic content services. Besides French, it seems to finally have all of the bases covered in the English, Spanish, and Portuguese departments.
Based in Belo Horizonte, the content wizzes at Rock Content already boast quite an eclectic team with executives from the United States and Colombia. Along those lines, it also has offices in Guadalajara, Mexico; Boca Raton, Florida; as well as various ones in Brazil.
Just in terms of numbers alone, Rock Content’s blogs reportedly see over 4 million monthly visits. For added exposure, it also collaborates with over 2,000 brands investing in quality content marketing material. What all of its partners have in common is the desire to scale content marketing efforts.
To ensure success, the Brazilian company also works with over 500 agencies, in addition to 80,000 professionals within its talent network.
