Mercado Pago has launched a new phase of its debt renegotiation program, targeting Microentrepreneurs (MEIs) and small businesses in Brazil. Part of the “Desenrola para Pessoas Jurídicas” initiative, this program aims to assist those with debts overdue for more than 90 days.

Participants can receive discounts of up to 98% and spread their debt repayments over 36 installments. Fernanda Laranja, Senior Manager of Public Policies at Mercado Pago, emphasized the importance of supporting entrepreneurs during challenging times. “We are committed to helping bring thousands of Brazilians back into economic activity, contributing to financial organization and business recovery,” Laranja stated.

The “Desenrola para Pessoas Físicas” program has already shown positive results, significantly increasing debt recovery and removing over 1 million individuals from negative credit lists. By including MEIs, Mercado Pago expands its impact and strengthens its commitment to the entrepreneurial community.
