The Impacta VC investment fund successfully concluded a new financing round in collaboration with fintech Uper and the corporation Emprende tu Mente (ETM). As part of the ETM Day 2023, a live capital raising event took place as part of the Live Fundraising Project, raising USD $1.4 million in the first hours, backed by a capital commitment of USD $1.02 million.
The alliance aims to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Chile, offering investment opportunities in the startups Retorna and Savia, while Theodora will open a waiting list for its next round.
The startups made their presentations, attracting investments through the crowdfunding platform Uper.co. Savia, a digital platform for supplying inputs to restaurants and hotels, and Retorna, a fintech specializing in remittances, are the companies seeking funding alongside Uper. Theodora, a startup using artificial intelligence to mitigate discrimination biases, is also on the list.
The Live Fundraising Project process took place during the ETM Day, where startups presented their proposals to an audience of over 30,000 attendees and 10,000 Uper and Impacta VC users. After the presentations, investment rounds were officially opened, continuing until December 10, 2023, on the Uper platform.
Eduardo Perez de Castro, co-founder of Uper, highlighted the purpose of their platform to facilitate high-potential companies raising capital directly from their communities. The collaboration with Impacta VC and Emprende tu Mente allowed the presentation of the best projects to over 25,000 attendees, democratizing access to investment.
