Wheel the World joins Plug and Play Travel & Hospitality’s portfolio

Contxto – Previously featured on our Market Map for Latam startups serving people with disabilities, Wheel the World is making Contxto headlines once again following its inclusion into Plug and Play Travel & Hospitality’s portfolio, according to the accelerator’s LinkedIn.

Álvaro Silberstein and Camilo Navarro from Chile founded Wheel the World as an easily-accessible adventure travel platform for people with disabilities.

Adventure seekers with limited mobility or handicaps choose between packages in over 40 global destinations, from Machu Picchu via wheelchair to Maui, with guided tours ranging from hiking, kayaking, and scuba diving.

What Plug and Play Travel & Hospitality does

Travel and hospitality startups join the Plug and Play Travel & Hospitality accelerator to further develop their disruptive technologies throughout the three-month programs. Committed to helping companies scale their solutions, this is a valuable time for startups to interact with prospective private equity and VC funds.

Under the tech umbrella, Wheel the World has developed a one-stop-shop for folks with disabilities to securely book hotels and tours most appropriate to their physical needs. Some of the tour packages range from five-day wheelchair tours of Oaxaca, Mexico to 10-day beach getaways to Viti Levu, Fiji.
