Trackfy Tecnologia, a Salvador-based startup, has engineered a safety device that attaches to helmets or badges, transmitting real-time data to a cloud platform regarding worker safety in industrial and construction environments. This device, conceptualized by mechanical engineer Túlio Cerviño and computer scientist Félix Faria, has been in the market since 2021 and currently serves eight companies, including industrial hubs in Camaçari, Cubatão, and Mauá.
The device enhances safety management by allowing site supervisors to digitally monitor worker presence in hazardous zones. This system not only identifies workers in high-risk areas but also facilitates immediate emergency response and evacuation procedures. The automation of this safety measure has significantly reduced reliance on manual checks and observational methods, thereby increasing efficiency and safeguarding lives.
Trackfy has expanded its service offerings to include a technology module composed of IoT hardware, data capture systems, and a digital document approval software named Trackfy Docs. This solution has found acceptance in various industries, including Chemical, Petrochemical, Steel, Mining, and Construction sectors, ensuring operational management in compliance with data protection and labor laws. The company’s commitment to sustainability aligns with three of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The startup’s revenue doubled in 2023, and within two years, it attracted angel investors and participated in funding rounds, with another round anticipated in 2024. The initial investments have primarily been allocated towards hardware purchases, development team expansion, solution enhancement, and initial marketing and sales efforts. With its innovative approach to industrial safety, Trackfy is setting a new standard for workplace safety and operational efficiency.
