The Institute of Banking Studies Guillermo Subercaseaux (IGS), an educational entity with a history of 94 years in Chile in the training of professionals and technicians in applied finance, has announced the launch of the Virtual Financial Job Fair IGS.
This event will take place from November 20 to 24, 2023 and will focus on the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence and Digital Finance‘.
The IGS Job Fair is a significant event in the financial sector that aims to establish connections between prominent employers in the financial industry, as well as students and graduates of IGS.
Its main objective is to facilitate the search for employment and internship opportunities, fostering professional development and the employability of participants.
The fair is supported by prominent institutions and companies such as the Association of Banks and Financial Institutions of Chile (ABIF), the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA), the Master’s in Financial Economics at USACH.
Also, the Faculty of Business of the University of Chile, the Digital Country Foundation, FinteChile, NTT DATA Europe & LATAM, UNIACC, Banco BICE, Banco de Chile, Renta Nacional Compañía de Seguros de Vida S.A., Banco Itaú, Banco BCI, Grupo Consorcio, and Falabella Financiero.
“Although the fair is primarily virtual, we will hold an in-person Opening Ceremony at the Santiago headquarters on November 20.”
“This event will provide a valuable networking opportunity and the possibility to interact directly with experts and prominent professionals,” explained IGS in a statement.
The central focus of the fair will be the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on the financial sector, considering the growing influence of technology in finance and the recent approval of the Fintech Law.
During the fair, three cycles of talks and workshops will address key topics, such as strengthening employability skills, promoting knowledge about various employing companies, and transforming the financial market through technology and artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, through the Trabajando.com platform, companies and organizations can post professional internship vacancies or job offers, both full-time and part-time, free of charge.
These opportunities are aimed at over 15,000 graduates and students about to graduate from related professional or technical careers, in various locations, including Santiago, Rancagua, Concepción, Temuco, Viña del Mar, and the Virtual IGS Campus.
