In Monterrey, the capital of the Mexican state of Nuevo León, the AWS Community Day Mexico will be held for the first time, an annual and free event organized by professionals who share knowledge about Amazon Web Services (AWS) in local and national communities.
The choice of Monterrey as the host is not random, as the city has become a prominent technological hub that houses an ecosystem of startups and companies with significant investments, venture capital, and advanced infrastructure, positioning it as a leader in innovation.
The AWS Community Day Mexico is a celebration of cloud innovation, where attendees can learn from experts, exchange ideas, and discover the latest trends in AWS technologies.
This event is aimed at decision-makers, developers, architects, engineers, and others interested in AWS, with over 30 conferences, workshops, and hands-on experiences in four thematic areas.
“We are witnessing the arrival of more specialized technology events in Nuevo León. The global AWS community knows that Monterrey offers an ideal ecosystem for sharing knowledge and innovating with the cloud, and AWS Community Day Mexico 2023 is proof of that,” says David Victoria, AWS Community Leader of User Group Monterrey, and co-organizer of the event.
Prominent professionals will participate in this event, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn, network at a high level, and certify their knowledge.
In Latin America, AWS Community Days have been equally led by women, and Mexico is no exception, with an impressive 80% female representation in its organization.
“Women are challenging gender stereotypes and breaking barriers in the tech industry through initiatives like the ‘Cloud Ambassadors’ group from AWS. As technology becomes a fundamental part of our daily lives, it is essential for women to play an active role in creating and leading technological solutions,” detailed Sandy Rodríguez, AWS Community Leader of Cloud Ambassadors, and co-organizer of the event.
AWS Community Day Mexico 2023 strengthens Monterrey’s position as a futuristic city committed to innovation.
The organizers hope that this event will be the beginning of an annual tradition that brings cloud technology to all of Mexico. This gathering is made possible thanks to sponsors such as AWS, Prisma Cloud, Palo Alto Networks, UDEM, Globant, and Escala 24×7.
