Wited, an EdTech company, is focusing on the low motivation levels among primary and secondary students in Mexico. CEO Gabriel Vera points out the unchanged learning model over decades as a key factor in student disengagement.

The company’s approach involves an online learning model for students at home or needing additional subject help. This model uses the Pomodoro technique, multimedia elements, and student participation to enhance the online education experience.

The program includes theoretical content, exercises, exams analyzed by AI for improvement, and live classes from selected teachers within Wited’s network. It also includes a reward system where students earn virtual coins for achievements, redeemable for items. According to Vera, 92% of students using Wited have shown grade improvement.

The platform has a significant number of visitors for its free content and offers plans at various price points. Wited currently has a network of 12,000 students, primarily in Chile, with expansion in Mexico.
