Worky, a provider of integrated HR and payroll software, announced its latest $6 million funding from Atlántico and ADP Ventures. Launched in 2018 by Maya Dadoo and Carlos Marina, Worky focuses on simplifying HR tasks for Mexico’s 20 million SME employees. The company reported that 60% of these employees frequently change jobs, affecting productivity and economic stability.
In 2022, Worky introduced Mexico’s first cloud-native payroll system, “Worky Payroll,” alongside a shift management module. These tools allow businesses to handle payroll, bonuses, and commissions more effectively. The platform aims to reduce employee turnover by 30% and improve job retention by 80%, showing significant financial benefits for users.
Worky plans to use the new capital to speed up product development and expand its marketing and sales operations. The investment will also help bolster their team to integrate more closely payroll management, data analytics, and employee benefits. With this initiative, Worky is poised to meet the growing needs of the Mexican workforce, addressing stringent payroll and employment regulations.
