Developer-centric automation platform BotCity, has raised US$2.5 million in a seed round led by Softbank Latin America Fund and Astella Investimentos.

With this funding, BotCity will expand globally and become a leader in developer-centric automation and RPA, as well as launch its community license with various features. In the next 18 months, the startup seeks to reach 5,000 programmers around the world.

Founded in 2020 by Gabriel Archanjo and Lorhan Caproni, they realized that technology teams need to automate unique processes to increase efficiency and scale their business operations, so they created a developer-to-developer solution with an interactive tool that generates code.

This platform works in a way that development teams can create custom automation with the help of AI, so to speak: robots that copy repetitive tasks that humans perform on their software / computers in a repetitive way to achieve strategic efficiency.

This platform allows development teams to create personalized automations through Artificial Intelligence; that is, robots copy repetitive tasks that humans perform repetitively on the computer, ensuring strategic efficiency.

BotCity has been one of the bets of Softbank and its fund “For Startups in the initial stage” that have announced in September of US $ 3 billion for the region in LATAM and that could exceed US $ 5 billion, raising funds with third parties, Other startups in the initiation stage that are included in this financing are: Worc and Abstra.
