Chile, in collaboration with the international Eureka network, has launched a new call for Network Projects to support the collaborative development of R&D and innovation projects between companies focusing on environmental sustainability. This multilateral initiative is conducted alongside innovation agencies from Belgium (VLAIO), France (BPI), and Spain (CDTI). Marking its second consecutive year of participation with European agencies since rejoining Eureka in 2022, Chile, under its Sustainable Productive Development (DPD) program, aims to support sophisticated green technology initiatives applicable to sectors such as energy, water, agriculture, forestry, transportation, circular economy, construction, and pollution management.

Chilean companies are encouraged to submit joint project proposals with firms from Belgium, France, or Spain. The process involves identifying international partners and utilizing Corfo’s Matchmaking Platform, a free tool on its website designed to facilitate connections and joint applications. The submission process includes two phases, with the international phase ending on April 10, 2024, followed by a national funding phase for successful Chilean companies. The “Crea y Valida Eureka” subsidy from Corfo will offer up to $220 million in co-funding for the development of a R&D and innovation project, with results available from July 2024.

This initiative reflects Chile’s commitment to advancing sophisticated and diversified production matrices while maintaining a sustainability focus, enhancing innovation through international collaboration. It opens up opportunities for Chilean companies to engage in high-impact, globally relevant projects and contributes to the worldwide effort of developing sustainable solutions across various industries.
