Contxto – I have some exciting news to share with the Latin American ecosystem: Google recently announced that it’s bringing its Business Internship Program to Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia! To prepare, Google is now seeking talented students willing to learn and work with the corporation for six months.
If you fit the description, then I think you should go for it!
We all know that Google is one of the largest and most prestigious companies in the world. Landing a job with them would definitely be an opportunity many would like to have. Fortunately for Latin American students, specifically for those studying in the designated countries, Google just launched this new effort.
The program
Students looking for an opportunity to learn and grow professionally just hit the jackpot. If you’re in your last year of college in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina or Colombia, then Google’s Business Internship Program has your name on it.
In terms of eligibility, the candidates should be planning on graduating between December 2020 and March 2021. Linguistically, apprentices must also speak and write in fluent English on top of either Spanish or Portuguese. This really depends on where you’d like to pursue the internship.
Applicants should also be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree at a private or public university where the program is active. Also, the internship will entail interns working 30 hours a week in either São Paulo, Mexico City, Buenos Aires or Bogotá.
Enrollment began in early September and will end on October 2 for Brazil and Colombia applicants. In the case of Mexico and Argentina, registration will go until November 15.
Great work environment
Maybe the global prominence of Google wasn’t enough of a reason to convince you to apply. You should know, though, that Google is one of the highest-ranking companies for employees.
According to Forbes, Google is one of the top ten best companies to work at in 2019. Plus, it seems committed to giving equal opportunities to everyone.
“We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status,” as stated on its careers site.
Other opportunities
Google Internships range from engineering to business and technology. All in all, they are ideal opportunities for anybody hoping to both learn and grow professionally and personally.
Not from Latin America? No worries! Here are some other opportunities the company has for students.
