After two years of activity in Brazil, the German fintech startup N26 has confirmed the cessation of its operations in the South American country.
The announcement was made through a publication on the company’s website and official N26 LinkedIn profile.
“N26 will cease its operations in Brazil. At this time, N26 has decided to cease its operations in Brazil as part of its strategy to focus on the main European markets,” the company wrote on the mentioned social network.
Led by the CEO in Brazil, Eduardo Prota, the digital bank aimed to consolidate its position as the primary entity for financial services in that South American country.
It strived to be a fintech that not only provided financial solutions but also made efforts to help customers manage their finances more effectively.
“Two years ago, we decided to try a way to care for money in Brazil with less fin and more care.
“We are very proud of the project we have built and very grateful to the thousands of customers who participated in the trial and trusted us,” can be read in the published text.
The fintech highlighted the work done by its team and the trust its customers place in its application services.
“We are very grateful for every person who has joined our waiting list and for every person who has tried our app.
“We know that each of them has only arrived thanks to the effort and dedication of the N26 team. It is to this team that we leave our thanks, our recommendation, and make ourselves available for references,” the publication on N26 LinkedIn emphasizes.
According to the bank, employees who worked in Brazil can apply for vacancies at the company’s European offices.
