InDrive launched the new edition of the Aurora Tech Award, a global recognition aimed at women founders of technology startups. The goal is to eliminate barriers and promote gender equality in technology entrepreneurship.

The Aurora Tech Award is an initiative that seeks to recognize globally impactful projects and celebrate and strengthen women founders of technology startups.

The award, driven by inDrive, aims to empower women leaders in the technology ecosystem, providing support and recognition for their contributions.

Its mission is to applaud the advancements of women in information technology, provide financial resources, and eliminate the gender biases that have long limited the potential of this sector.

“In a technological world still struggling with gender inequalityawards like the Aurora Tech Award are catalysts for change. Our recognition empowers women, breaking barriers and inspiring the brightest minds,” stated Ekaterina Smirnova, the Aurora Tech Award Chief Executive Officer.

“The positive feedback from previous winners confirms its transformative impact. As applications are received worldwide, we are excited to highlight talents that have a transformative effect on the community and serve as role models.

“We envision a future where gender no longer limits potential. This award is not just recognition; it is a step towards a more inclusive and innovative tomorrow,” added the executive.

Crunchbase says only 2.3% of venture capital funding goes to women-led startups. For this reason, this award aims to discover promising projects among women-led startups and provide them with the necessary support.

The jury will comprise prominent technology experts, last year’s Aurora Tech Award winners, and key industry experts.

There will be one winner per category, and this award can be given to participants from any country involved. In addition to the awards, the entrepreneurs will have access to the inDrive mentorship program.

InDrive’s initiative, a global platform for mobility and urban services, announces a future where innovation is not limited by gender and where the potential of women is fully developed.

It’s not just about overcoming obstacles; it’s about building an industry that showcases all capabilities, regardless of gender.
