BBVA Spark is a project by the bank aimed at assisting high-growth businesses with the agility and flexibility they need to achieve success. It began in Spain and Mexico and has now landed in Argentina.
With the arrival of BBVA Spark in the South American country, Argentine startups will have a comprehensive proposition of financial services, specialized support, and access to the sector’s ecosystem.
“With BBVA Spark, we want to support the Argentine technological ecosystem, a sector that demonstrates daily that innovation and the ambition to overcome all kinds of challenges are in its DNA,” emphasized Juan Kindt, Business Development Director of BBVA in Argentina.
On the other hand, Martín Zarich, Country Manager of BBVA in Argentina, stated that this is a very special moment for BBVA, as it represents a very significant commitment by the Group globally, present in various countries.
“BBVA Spark is our commitment to entrepreneurship in Argentina,” Zarich said during the launch event.
“We are building the best banking for high-growth companies, and one of our main geographies is South America. The opening in Argentina is a fundamental piece of our regional strategy,” explained the global head of BBVA Spark, Roberto Albaladejo.
The BBVA Spark initiative has an extensive range of financial products and services for startups and scaleups, tailored to their needs based on their growth stage, including:

Currently, BBVA Spark works with more than 600 high-growth technology companies globally. The initiative has granted over 200 million euros in credits and invested over 600 million euros in venture capital funds.
