Visa has unveiled its AI Advisory Practice, a value-added service provided by its consulting division, Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA). This initiative focuses on delivering actionable insights and recommendations to clients for harnessing the power of generative AI.
This strategic addition enhances Visa’s portfolio of value-added services. The company’s investment exceeds US$3 billion in AI and data infrastructure, facilitating safer, more intelligent money movement and proactive fraud prevention. VCA’s application of AI has already led to hundreds of paid agreements in the past year, underlining its success in aiding client growth.
Carl Rutstein, Global Head of Advisory Services at Visa, emphasizes AI’s transformative impact on industries worldwide, particularly in the payments sector. Visa’s advisory business leverages AI not just for enhancing payment experiences but also for empowering clients to grow and redefine service delivery to their customers in acquisition, engagement, retention, and risk management.
Visa’s specialized AI advisory practice capitalizes on VCA’s global network, consisting of over 1,000 consultants, data scientists, and product experts across 75 offices on six continents. This extensive network assists clients in navigating the AI landscape, including the potential role of generative AI. The advisory services range from initial discovery and planning to implementation, grounded on foundational strategy, capability assessment, and model design.
