Contxto – Invest in the future, that’s what the fourth annual Peru Venture Capital Conference (PVCC) is promoting. Sponsored by COFIDE, the Interamerican Development Bank, ESAN and UTEC Ventures, the event intends to turn Peru’s tech ecosystem into a world-class hub worthy of everyone’s attention.

In Summary

PVCC2019 will take place from October 16 to 17 and promises to gather over 1,000 attendees. Most of them, venture capital and startup enthusiasts. It also happens to be Peru’s largest entrepreneurship event, connecting the nation’s innovators and entrepreneurs with local and international investors.

It really doesn’t matter whether you’re a founder, incubator, accelerator, investor or just a cyberpunk. The goal is for participants to expand and solidify networks. Attendees can expect more than 20 high-level keynote speakers, great business practice conferences and worldwide success cases.

In-Depth

Keeping this in mind, PVCC aims to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in three ways. The first is by getting the community together, meaning founders, investors, incubators, corporations and state officials all in one space.

Secondly, the event will connect local players to international ones. All the while, PVCC wants to promote knowledge and best practices within the Peruvian and global ecosystems for maximum success.

Some confirmed speakers include Marcos Simoes, partner and business lead of Nubank, Diego Olcese, co-founder and CEO or Crehana, Andrés Sarrazola, co-founder and CEO of Ayenda Rooms, Manuel Hidalgo, founder of Keynua, among others.

Back in 2018, the meetup hosted around 900 people from around the globe. Within this group were 250 investors and corporations as well as 300 local and international startups.

Peru’s Development Finance Corporation (Cofide) and Peru’s Ministry of Production, plus Startup Peru, BID Lab, UTEC Ventures and ESAN, organized this initiative. Endeavor, Swisscontact, PECAP, Shift, KUNAN, and Nesst were also involved. Additional sponsors included Xertica, IBM, Tivit, Wayra, Tekton Labs and Porto Legal.

Contxto is proudly joining UTEC Ventures as media partners in this upcoming edition. I’ll be down there connecting, networking and chatting with as many folks as possible. This is just one of the many stops I’ll be making in October while traveling across Latin America, so feel free to reach out!
