President Gabriel Boric has announced the creation of Startups Campus, a new public-private initiative poised to unite key players of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in one collaborative space.

Set to operate from the strategic location of Santa Rosa with Alameda, this hub is designed to spur the creation of scientific and technological companies, aiming to significantly elevate Chile’s global competitiveness by fostering applied research in productive sectors.

The Startups Campus, initiated by Corfo and Fundación Chile, is projected to support over 200 high-growth potential startups in its first five years. With an investment exceeding $10 million, funded from Research and Development agreements linked to lithium exploitation, the campus will focus on pivotal national challenges like just decarbonization, climate change resilience, and sustainable economic diversification.

Located at the iconic former Enel corporate building in downtown Santiago, the newly named Campus Santa Lucía spans nearly 4,000 square meters. It will feature coworking spaces, an auditorium, a biological sciences lab, and hardware prototyping facilities.

This setting is expected to transform Chile into a Latin American benchmark for dynamic enterprise support, driving job creation and innovative financial solutions.
