Wenalyze Secures €1M to Expand Internationally

Madrid-based Wenalyze, founded in 2018, has closed a funding round exceeding €1 million.

Led by Athos Capital, the round included participation from Bankinter, AstoryaVC, GoHub, and Telefónica’s investment vehicle, Íope Ventures. The funds will support Wenalyze’s international expansion, focusing on open data analysis for the banking and insurance sectors.

Athos Capital, Bankinter, AstoryaVC, and GoHub were already investors from a previous round in March 2022. Now, Telefónica and Wayra join through Íope Ventures, their investment vehicle for fintech and insurtech startups. This will enable Wenalyze to collaborate with Telefónica Seguros and Wayra to explore new business opportunities.

Augusto Pérez Arbizu, CEO of Telefónica Seguros, highlights that investing in Wenalyze will enhance cyber products for businesses in Spain. Carlos Albo, CEO of Wenalyze, emphasizes that their platform improves sales strategies and customer service for banks and insurers.
