Bifidice, a Chilean probiotics startup, recently secured an $850,000 investment led by Südlich Capital along with angel investors Fernando Rex, Thomas Otesen, and Gabriel Salinas. Founded by Antje Bracker and Anastasia Gutkevich from Russia, the company aims to tackle allergies and chronic diseases using a formula developed over forty years ago.
Having been operational for seven years, the company took a significant leap after Anastasia’s participation in Start-Up Chile, leading to a strong presence in Chile, Argentina, and Colombia. The recent funding will accelerate Bifidice’s international growth, team expansion, and development of new business avenues. Additional capital includes $350,000 from state funds, specifically from Corfo, to bolster their initiatives.
As Bifidice continues to grow, they hint at the possibility of another, larger investment round. Their journey reflects a commitment to leveraging probiotics for better health outcomes across the region, marking a significant stride in their expansion and influence in the health and wellness sector.
