The startup emerged from a challenging phase in Vera’s previous venture. He teamed up with Ibáñez to explore retail opportunities, leading to innovations in robotics, movement sensors, and consumer behavior analysis software. Their breakthrough came when CCU, their first client, approached them to improve their e-commerce operations, notably to dispatch beer orders within 90 minutes. This challenge led to the establishment of Instance, which now operates as a complete e-commerce accelerator platform.

Instance’s end-to-end solution, powered by algorithms and machine learning, integrates various operational aspects like warehousing, last-mile delivery, invoicing, product listing, and a sales acceleration formula based on the “four classic dimensions of e-commerce.” Operating under a B2B2C business model, the company charges a commission on sales and boasts over 75 clients, including Unilever, Hasbro, Softys, and House of Marley.

Miguel Ángel Vera, based in Mexico City, leads the company’s expansion in Mexico, aiming to onboard 30 new clients in its second most significant market after Chile. They also have a physical operation in Colombia. The company plans to strengthen its commercial team in Mexico and delve deeper into technological advancements, particularly in sales prediction algorithms.

Instance anticipates a 1.5 times growth in sales compared to 2023, targeting a revenue of US$ 21 million. This ambitious expansion reflects their commitment to scaling up e-commerce operations and enhancing digital sales channels in the Mexican market.
