The U.S. office, opening in Delaware in 2024, will focus on positioning their shared electromobility technology in the Latin American market.
Intelligenio’s notable achievement includes developing Genio, Peru’s first self-sustaining electric vehicle charger, promoting a shared economy concept. CEO Ricardo Cossi explained that vehicle owners could share their charging points via a platform, creating a collaborative network enhancing efficiency and resource availability.
The company identified a gap in the market due to the rising demand for electrified vehicles (4,076 purchased in 2023, a 85% increase from 2021) and the insufficient charging infrastructure in Peru. Intelligenio’s solution, Genio, addresses this by reducing installation costs by 80% and facilitating charging for various electric vehicles, from cars to scooters and bikes. With a projected global shortfall of 20 million electric car chargers by 2028, Intelligenio’s innovation positions them as a key player in addressing this growing demand.
