The Latin American entrepreneurial ecosystem is going through a decisive moment. Startups that have demonstrated their ability to innovate and scale locally now face a new challenge: competing on the global stage. For these companies, 500 Global is issuing a call for proposals that could mark their transition from regional players to international contenders.

The venture capital firm will select five promising companies to receive a $300,000 investment in exchange for 10% equity. However, the real value of the program goes beyond the capital injected. Winning startups will gain access to 500 Global’s global network, personalized mentoring and an exclusive program in Silicon Valley scheduled for April 2026.

“500 Global is the bridge to Silicon Valley for Latin American companies,” says Damaris Mendoza Loera, 500 Global Partner. “We are the only fund in the region with offices in Palo Alto and we will use this advantage to scale ventures globally.”

More than funding: a complete ecosystem of support

The call represents a comprehensive opportunity for founders in the region. The investment ticket, considered the largest pre-seed investment ticket currently available in Latin America, is accompanied by three strategic components that seek to accelerate growth.

Personalized support begins from the moment the investment is made. Startups will participate in thematic groups where founders share learning and grow collaboratively. This collective mentoring model has proven effective in other emerging markets.

But without a doubt, the most distinctive element is the immersion in Silicon Valley. “During the three weeks in Palo Alto, entrepreneurs will have the freedom to build their own agendas, connect with investors, mentors and other founders from different parts of the world,” explains Mendoza. “The goal is for them to experience firsthand the mindset that characterizes the technology innovation hub.”

Regional talent with global ambition

The call keeps its doors open for startups from all industries. From companies that use artificial intelligence to optimize crops, to developers of innovative healthcare solutions or fintechs that build financial infrastructure. The common denominator must be the use of cutting-edge technology and the readiness to scale internationally.

The timing of this initiative is not coincidental. “Although Palo Alto is setting the pace with AI, today Latin American talent has the opportunity to create platforms that transform the region and contribute to the entire world,” Mendoza reflects. “At 500 Global we believe the time to act is now.”

The call will be open for applications from November 10-30, 2025, with a first-come, first-served review process. Interested startups can apply through the link specifically designed for this initiative.

Once the investment is confirmed, the 500 Global team will immediately begin working with each selected startup. It is important to note that if all five startups are selected before November 30, the call will close early.
